Little Lotus Academy’s mission is to nurture moral character, strong intellect and physical and mental health for students pre-K to Grade 5.
At Little Lotus Academy, education is more than just acquiring knowledge.
It’s about cultivating the heart, mind, and spirit. We provide a traditional liberal arts education grounded in moral integrity, virtuous habits, and a love of wisdom.
Founded in August 2021 under NY Religious Corporation Law, our elementary school serves students from Pre-K to Grade 5, providing a learning environment where academic excellence and moral development go hand-in-hand.
Rooted in the timeless wisdom of traditional culture and classical education, we guide young minds toward virtue, wisdom, and well-rounded growth.
Our teacher-led classrooms provide guidance and structure.
Meanwhile our rich curriculum nurtures a sense of wonder, delight, and gratitude. As a result, our students display a love of learning, and consistently achieve test scores well above state and national averages.
Our rich and engaging bilingual curriculum integrates Western classical education and traditional Chinese culture. Our small class sizes allow us to provide a nurturing environment for all students, along with individualized attention.
By the time our students graduate grade 5:
They are proficient in reading and writing in both English and Chinese and have completed a mastery-based mathematics curriculum, with most students performing above grade level.
They have explored classical and beautiful literature from both Eastern and Western traditions, gained a thorough understanding of U.S. and world history, and received hands-on experiences in traditional Chinese art, classical music, dance, and natural sciences.
