Virtue of the Month: Good Manners and Behavior
One activity in our kindergarten and first-grade virtue class was reading the story The Ugly Duckling and discussing the importance of respect among peers and the beauty of individuality. Then we created our own pond with all the different little ducklings in our class. The children traced their own hand and colored in their unique duckling based on individual preferences. They were very engaged, and some took their ducklings home.

Festival Half-day Field Trip
To support the Arts and Culture Festival, Little Lotus conducted a half-day field trip on its opening day. After finishing our main lessons, students and teachers headed over to the Fei Tian Northern campus with great excitement.
Upon arrival, we discovered a farm pen with llamas, goats, lambs, and bunnies. The main attraction was the bouncy castles. While the students waited for their tickets, some posed with the Gan Jing World face cutouts. The kids loved jumping, climbing, and sliding down the inflatable courses. The favorite was the Sticky Wall Challenge. The children wore velcro suits, bounced, and stuck to the wall. It provided great laughs for participants and the audience.
Once the students’ faces were red and their hair soaked with sweat, our fourth and fifth graders had their art class under a big old tree. In line with the season, they painted beautiful pumpkins and other fall harvest vegetables. The younger students browsed the booths. While the kindergarteners and first graders colored in pictures at a booth, others brought tasty treats and shopped for souvenirs.
It was a lovely afternoon to kick off October for students and teachers alike. The fun and relaxing trip to the festival may become one of our fall traditions.

Arts and Culture Festival Choir Performance
On September 19, we had a wonderful performance at the New Century Moon Festival. With the help of many teachers, we enjoyed learning and performing “Ode to Joy” in English, Spanish, and Chinese; “Mid-Autumn Moon Gazing - The Loving Mother” in Chinese; and “Hey Let’s Go” in English. The last song really fired up the audience.

Meditation Learning
In September, Little Lotus students proudly took part in Falun Dafa meditation demonstration performances at two local community events. One was the Chinese Renaissance Festival, and the other was the Moon Festival. Dressed in their school attire, the students stepped forward with confidence and enthusiasm, moving together with calm focus and graceful rhythm. Their peaceful presence and coordinated movements brought bright, uplifting energy to the events, giving community members a wonderful glimpse into the beauty of Falun Dafa and traditional Chinese culture. Audience members even began following the students’ movements to learn the exercises.
